Debate was resumed on the motion for Second Reading of Bill 179, An Act to amend the Child and Family Services Act respecting adoption and the provision of care and maintenance.

After some time, pursuant to Standing Order 47(c), the Deputy Speaker interrupted the proceedings and announced that there had been more than six and one-half hours of debate on Second Reading of Bill 179, An Act to amend the Child and Family Services Act respecting adoption and the provision of care and maintenance, and that the debate was deemed adjourned, at which point the Acting Government House Leader (Mr. Wilkinson) specified otherwise, whereupon debate continued.
