About the Community Exhibits Program
The Community Exhibits Program at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario offers museums, cultural groups, archives, and community organizations across Ontario a unique opportunity to share their stories, treasures, and perspectives in the heart of Queen’s Park. Through several dedicated display cases in the West Wing of the Legislative Building, groups can reach thousands of visitors each year.
Exhibit Dates: Yearly from April to December
Application Period: November 25, 2025, to January 25, 2026
This Year's Theme: Sports in Ontario
We invite proposals that explore the central role sports play in building community, identity, and social change in Ontario. Below are some suggested exhibit topics:
- Global Goals: Sports Cultures in Ontario
Celebrate Ontario's multicultural communities by showcasing how different cultures celebrate, play, and watch sports – from flags and fan traditions to cuisine and more. - Sports and Social Change
Highlight local organizations, initiatives, or individuals who use sports as a tool for social inclusion, empowerment, and positive transformation within Ontario communities. - Women in the Game
Shine a light on the achievements and contributions of women in Ontario as players, coaches, referees, and leaders in the sports community. - Hometown Heroes
Celebrate Ontario-born sports stars, coaches, and managers who have made a national or international impact. Share their stories, memorabilia, jerseys, and the legacy they carry.
