Whereas an emergency was declared by Order in Council 518/2020 (Ontario Regulation 50/20) on March 17, 2020 pursuant to section 7.0.1 of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act; and Whereas the emergency was extended past the end of March 31, 2020 for a period of 14 days by Ontario Regulation 84/20 on March 30, 2020 pursuant to subsection 7.0.7 (2) of the Act; and Whereas the emergency was extended by resolution of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario for a period of 28 days on April 14, 2020 pursuant to subsection 7.0.7 (3) of the Act; and Whereas the emergency was extended by resolution of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario for a period of 21 days on May 12, 2020 pursuant to subsection 7.0.7 (3) of the Act; and Whereas the emergency was extended by resolution of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario for a period of 28 days on June 2, 2020 pursuant to subsection 7.0.7 (3) of the Act ending June 30, 2020; and Whereas the period of the emergency may be further extended only by resolution of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario pursuant to subsection 7.0.7 (3) of the Act; and Whereas the Premier has recommended that the period of the emergency be extended for 15 days past the end of June 30, 2020; Therefore, the Legislative Assembly of Ontario hereby declares that the period of the emergency is extended past the end of June 30, 2020 for a further period of 15 days. | |
