An Act requiring the consideration of air traffic noise in the assessment of residential property
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:
1.Section 19 of the Assessment Act, as amended by the Statutes of Ontario, 1997, chapter 5, section 12, 1997, chapter 29, section 9 and 1998, chapter 33, section 5, is further amended by adding the following subsection:
Land used for residential purposes
(4)For the purpose of determining the current value of land used for residential purposes, consideration shall be given to air traffic noise.
Commencement
2.This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.
Short title
3.The short title of this Act is the Assessment Amendment Act (Air Traffic Noise), 1999.
