Bill 106, An Act to require open meetings for provincial and municipal boards, commissions and other public bodies. Ms. Di Cocco.

Bill 107, An Act to restore local control over planning by involving citizens and ensuring decisions are made by democratically elected officials. Mr. Colle.

Following "Oral Questions", the Speaker repeatedly requested the Member for Hamilton East (Mr. Agostino) to come to order.

The Member having refused was named by the Speaker and directed to withdraw from the service of the House for the balance of the sessional day.

Comme le député refuse d'obéir, le Président le désigne par son nom et l'ordonne de se retirer du service de l'Assemblée pour le reste du jour de session.

ORDERS OF THE DAY

Mr. Clark moved,

M. Clark propose,

That pursuant to Standing Order 46 and notwithstanding any other Standing Order or Special Order of the House relating to Bill 53, An Act respecting the equity in education tax credit, when Bill 53 is next called as a government order, the Speaker shall put every question necessary to dispose of the Second reading stage of the bill, without further debate or amendment, and at such time the bill shall be Ordered for Third reading, which order may be called on that same day; and

That, when the order for Third reading is called, the Speaker shall put every question necessary to dispose of this stage of the bill without further debate or amendment; and

That, the vote on Second and Third reading may, pursuant to Standing Order 28(h), be deferred; and

That, in the case of any division relating to any proceedings on the bill, the division bell shall be limited to five minutes.

A debate arose and, after some time, the motion was declared carried.

Il s'élève un débat et après quelque temps, la motion est déclarée adoptée.

Debate was resumed on the motion for Second Reading of Bill 23, An Act to amend the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998 and the Municipal Franchises Act in respect of consumer protection, the governance of the Ontario Energy Board and other matters.

Le débat reprend sur la motion portant deuxième lecture du projet de loi 23, Loi modifiant la Loi de 1998 sur la Commission de l'énergie de l'Ontario et la Loi sur les concessions municipales en ce qui a trait à la protection des consommateurs, à la régie de la Commission de l'énergie de l'Ontario et à d'autres questions.

After some time, pursuant to Standing Order 9(a), the motion for the adjournment of the debate was deemed to have been made and carried.

Après quelque temps, conformément à l'article 9(a) du Règlement, la motion d'ajournement du débat est réputée avoir été proposée et adoptée.

The House then adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
