The Legislative Assembly of Ontario provides library and research services to MPPs, their staff, legislative committees, and Legislative Assembly staff. Some information is available to the public. Research papers


The Legislative Library and Legislative Research provide MPPs, their staff, and legislative committees with confidential, non-partisan research and analysis on request. They also prepare research papers on key public policy topics of interest to parliamentarians.

ISBNs and ISSNs


The Legislative Library assigns ISBNs (International Standard Book Numbers) and ISSNs (International Standard Serial Numbers) to Ontario government publications on behalf of Library and Archives Canada.

Data resources


The Office of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario is working to make certain data, information, and publications available for anyone to use and share without restriction.

Library catalogue


Access to the library’s online catalogue is provided as a courtesy to assist the public and libraries in identifying and cataloguing Ontario Government publications.
