Organizational structure

The Sergeant-at-Arms, who is also the Executive Director of the Precinct Properties Branch, oversees the Legislative Protective Service. The day-to-day operations of LPS are managed from within the service and the Legislative Assembly of Ontario with no outside involvement. The service, however, maintains partnerships with a variety of outside agencies to ensure current and efficient delivery of services.

The Legislative Protective Service is comprised of both uniformed officers and civilian staff. Uniformed officers consist of Peace Officers and Protective Service Officers. Peace Officers range in rank from Constable to Superintendent (Director). Protective Service Officers range in title from Protective Service Officer to Protective Service Supervisor. The service also employees Parking Enforcement Officers.

Civilian staff includes an Operational Communications Centre Supervisor, Communications Operators, as well as other administrative staff.
