Nancy Cooper, Committee Member

Nancy Cooper is a member of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation in Ontario. She works with the First Nation Public Libraries in Ontario through the Ontario Library Service. Nancy received her Master’s degree in Adult Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto.  She focused on the transformative nature of culture-based literacy provision. Since arriving in Tkaronto in 1991 she has worked in the Indigenous education community at local, provincial, national and international levels.

She lives here with her wife, their twin boys, and a magical poodle named Joy.
