Bill 67 has been enacted as Chapter 26 of the Statutes of Ontario, 2025.

The Bill proclaims February 23 in each year as Hospitality Workers Appreciation Day.

Bill 67 2025

An Act to proclaim Hospitality Workers Appreciation Day

Preamble

Ontario’s hospitality industry – including restaurants, hotels, event venues, catering companies and related services – is a key economic driver, a major employer and a vital contributor to community life. The professionals who work in hospitality bring people together, power local businesses and support tourism across the Province of Ontario.

Despite their essential role, hospitality workers often receive limited formal recognition. Proclaiming February 23 as Hospitality Workers Appreciation Day would allow the Province of Ontario to acknowledge their contributions, promote pride across the workforce and encourage investment in the sector’s continued success.

Therefore, His Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:

Hospitality Workers Appreciation Day

1 February 23 in each year is proclaimed as Hospitality Workers Appreciation Day.

Commencement

2 This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.

Short title

3 The short title of this Act is the Hospitality Workers Appreciation Day Act, 2025.
