53. (1) Subject to subsection (2), this Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.

(2) Subject to subsection (3), sections 1 to 51 come into force on a day to be named by proclamation of the Lieutenant Governor.

(3) The Lieutenant Governor shall not issue a proclamation under subsection (2) on or after December 31, 2026.
