Coming into force:
5. (1) Subject to subsections (2), (3), (4) and (5), this Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.

(2) Subsections 1 (1) and (2) and sections 2, 3 and 4 shall be deemed to have come into force on January 1, 2004.

(3) Subsection 1 (3) comes into force on the day that section 6 of Schedule I to the Keeping the Promise for Growth and Prosperity Act (2002 Budget), 2002 comes into force.

(4) If the Budget Measures Act, 2004, being Bill 83 of the 1st Session, 38th Legislature, receives Royal Assent, subsection 2 (3) comes into force on the later of,

(a) the day this Act receives Royal Assent; and

(b) the day that Act receives Royal Assent.

(5) Subsection 2 (3) does not come into force if the Budget Measures Act, 2004, being Bill 83 of the 1st Session, 38th Legislature, does not receive Royal Assent.
