An Act to proclaim Ontario Craft Beer Week
Preamble
Over the past decade, and with over 70 craft breweries in Ontario, the craft beer industry has grown in popularity, adding a generous boost to and becoming a major player in Ontario's alcohol beverage industry.
Ontario craft beer is handcrafted, made in small batches with lots of attention and care using locally sourced, all-natural pure ingredients with no additives or preservatives and using the brew masters' own authentic special recipes.
This Act is an instrumental way for the province to honour its long-standing partnership with and support of the Ontario Craft Brewers Association and to showcase and celebrate our province's thriving, locally-based craft beer industry.
Therefore, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:

1 The week commencing the second Sunday in June in each year is proclaimed as Ontario Craft Beer Week.
Commencement
2 This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.
Short title
3 The short title of this Act is the Ontario Craft Beer Week Act, 2017.
