Debate resumed, during which the Acting Speaker (Mr. Arnott) interrupted the proceedings and announced that there had been more than six and one-half hours of debate and that the debate was deemed adjourned.

That, in accordance with Section 87 of the Legislative Assembly Act, the name of the following person appointed to serve on the Board of Internal Economy has been communicated to the Chair of the Board of Internal Economy:

Peter Milczyn, MPP, is appointed by the Caucus of the Government in the place of Yvan Baker, MPP. (Sessional Paper No. 218) (Tabled May 8, 2017).

Motion that this House approves in general the Budgetary Policy of the Government.

Debate resumed and after some time,

Mr. Fedeli moved, That, the motion moved by the Minister of Finance on April 27, 2017 “That this House approves in general the Budgetary Policy of the Government” be amended by deleting the words following “That this House” and adding thereto the following:

“Recognizes that Ontario has not balanced the budget and in fact contains a $5 billion dollar operational deficit financed through one-time revenue sources and cash grabs, and $10 billion in new debt, and therefore the government has lost the confidence of this House.”

Debate resumed and after some time the House adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
