That the Legislative Assembly of Ontario endorses the need for a strong national securities regulator and endorses the Open Ontario Plan to grow our financial services industry by calling on the federal government to recognize Toronto's role as the third-largest financial centre in North America and therefore locate the new Common Securities Regulator in Toronto, where it belongs.

4. The amendment by Mr. Hudak to the motion by Mr. Duncan (seconded by Mr. McGuinty) respecting the Budgetary Policy of the Government was lost on division April 14, 2010. Mr. Arnott – That in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should acknowledge the strong and longstanding community support for a new Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Centre Wellington and immediately provide the hospital with its requested planning grant, and allow it to move forward to the next stage of approval. 4. Ms. DiNovo – That, in the opinion of this House, the Government immediately institute a housing credit for those on social assistance as requested by anti-poverty activists such as the Daily Bread Food Bank. Filed on March 10, 2010.

5. Ms. DiNovo – That, in the opinion of this House, any new trains purchased and operative in Ontario should be electric.
