The Speaker addressed the House as follows:- I beg to inform the House that today the Clerk received the Report on Intended Appointments dated October 26, 2005 of the Standing Committee on Government Agencies. Pursuant to Standing Order 106(e)(9), the Report is deemed to be adopted by the House (Sessional Paper No. 10).

Debate was resumed on the Amendment to the Motion for an Address in Reply to the Speech of His Honour the Lieutenant Governor at the Opening of the Session.			Le débat reprend sur l'amendement à la motion portant l'Adresse en réponse au discours prononcé par Son Honneur le lieutenant-gouverneur à l'ouverture de la session.
After some time, the amendment to the motion was put as follows:-			Après quelque temps, l'amendement à la motion est mis aux voix comme suit:-
That the motion be amended by striking out all of the words after: "We, Her Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, now assembled, beg leave to thank Your Honour for the gracious speech Your Honour has been pleased to address to us at the opening of the present Session," and replacing them with the following:-
"However, the current Speech from the Throne ignores the real problems faced by real working families throughout Ontario; and
Whereas, in place of real action for Ontario's families this throne speech offers nothing more than warmed-over old announcements and `novelty items'; and Whereas the Throne speech ignores the real hardship imposed by the new Liberal health tax during an already difficult time; and Whereas the Throne speech ignores the real hardships that Ontarians face in paying more for electricity, home heating, and vital medical care; and Whereas the Throne Speech continues to neglect the mounting problems of nursing supply, waitlists, or timely access to care; and Whereas, based on this Liberal government's broken promises in their first throne speech... Ontarians have valid reason to doubt the contents of the current one.
Therefore, I regret to inform His Honour that the current Liberal government has failed to keep its election commitments, failed to listen to the real needs of Ontario families and have instead persisted in unreasonable taxation, undisciplined spending, and continued neglect of the real needs of Ontarians. We therefore condemn this government for ignoring the real problems facing real Ontario families and demand immediate action before it's too late."
The Acting Speaker (Mr. Prue) declared his opinion that the Nays had it, and a recorded vote having been demanded.			Le président par intérim, M. Prue déclare qu'à son avis les voix opposées l'emportent et un vote par appel nominal a été demandé.
The Acting Speaker directed that the Members be called in, for which purpose the division bells were rung.			Le Président par intérim donne des directives pour convoquer les députés et la sonnerie d'appel se fait entendre.

I have received a request from the Chief Government Whip, under Standing Order 28(h), that the vote be deferred until Thursday, October 27, 2005.			J'ai reçu une requête du Whip en chef du gouvernement, conformément à l'article 28(h) du Règlement, que le vote soit différé jusqu'au jeudi 27 octobre 2005.
Therefore the vote is accordingly deferred.			En conséquence, le vote est différé.

The House then adjourned at 6:05 p.m.			À 18 h 05, la chambre a ensuite ajourné ses travaux.

A debate arose on the motion for Third Reading of Bill 169, An Act to amend the Highway Traffic Act and to amend and repeal various other statutes in respect of transportation-related matters. After some time, pursuant to Standing Order 9, the motion for the adjournment of the debate was deemed to have been made and carried.			Après quelque temps, conformément à l'article 9 du Règlement, la motion d'ajournement du débat est réputée avoir été proposée et adoptée.
