The Speaker addressed the House as follows:-

I beg to inform the House that today the Clerk received the Report on Intended Appointments dated February 16, 2005 of the Standing Committee on Government Agencies. Pursuant to Standing Order 106(e)(9), the Report is deemed to be adopted by the House (Sessional Paper No. 370).

With unanimous consent, following "Statements by the Ministry and Responses", the House reverted to "Introduction of Bills".

Debate was resumed on the motion for Second Reading of Bill 164, An Act to rename and amend the Tobacco Control Act, 1994, repeal the Smoking in the Workplace Act and make complementary amendments to other Acts.
