The Lieutenant Governor gave Royal Assent in his office on December 16, 2004; announced in the House on February 15, 2005. See Votes and Proceedings, February 15, 2005

Coming into force:
17. (1) Subject to subsections (2), (3) and (4), this Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.

(2) If the Audit Statute Law Amendment Act, 2004, being Bill 18 of the 1st Session, 38th Legislature, receives Royal Assent, subsection 10 (5) comes into force on the later of,

(a) the day this Act receives Royal Assent; and

(b) the day that Act receives Royal Assent.

(3) Subsection 10 (5) does not come into force if the Audit Statute Law Amendment Act, 2004, being Bill 18 of the 1st Session, 38th Legislature, does not receive Royal Assent.

(4) Section 16 shall be deemed to have come into force on May 18, 2004.
