An Act to amend the
Employment Standards Act, 2000

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:

1. The definition of "public holiday" in subsection 1 (1) of the Employment Standards Act, 2000 is amended by adding the following paragraph:

3.1 In 2003, June 30.

Commencement

2. This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.

Short title

3. The short title of this Act is the June 30, 2003 Statutory Holiday Act, 2003.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The Employment Standards Act, 2000 is amended to provided that June 30, 2003 is a public holiday.
