An Act to prohibit
municipalities from issuing
building permits
in respect of hog farms

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:

Issuing permit prohibited

1. No municipality shall issue a building permit for the construction or expansion of a hog farm until after December 31, 2003.

Commencement

2. This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.

Short title

3. The short title of this Act is the Freeze on Hog Farms Act, 2002.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The Bill prohibits municipalities from issuing building permits for the construction or expansion of hog farms until after December 31, 2003.
