An Act to protect taxpayers from paying Al McLean's legal expenses

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:

Certain payments prohibited

1. No amount shall be paid out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund in respect of legal expenses incurred by the member for Simcoe East in connection with allegations of sexual harassment made against him during the 36th Legislature of Ontario.

Commencement

2. This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.

Short title

3. The short title of this Act is the Taxpayers' Protection from Paying Al McLean's Legal Expenses Act, 1998.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
