ORDER IN COUNCIL

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the First Session of the 42nd Parliament of the Province of Ontario is currently adjourned until June 14, 2021,

Pursuant to Standing Order Number 11(a) of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, the Speaker be advised that it is deemed that the public interest requires the Assembly to reconvene at an earlier time during the adjournment than June 14, 2021,

And that the Speaker be requested to give notice accordingly to reconvene the First Session of the 42nd Parliament of the Province of Ontario at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, the 13th day of June, 2021.

DÉCRET

Sur la recommandation de la personne soussignée, la lieutenante-gouverneure de l’Ontario, sur l’avis et avec le consentement du Conseil exécutif de l’Ontario, décrète ce qui suit :

Attendu que la première session de la 42e législature de la province de l’Ontario est actuellement ajournée jusqu’au 14 juin 2021;

Attendu que, conformément à l’article 11 a) du Règlement de l’Assemblée législative de l’Ontario, le président soit avisé que l’intérêt public exige que l’Assemblée reprenne ses travaux pendant l’ajournement plus tôt que le 14 juin 2021;

Et qu’il soit demandé au président de donner avis en conséquence pour reprendre les travaux de la première session de la 42e législature de la province de l’Ontario à 13 h le dimanche 13 juin 2021.

In accordance with the provisions of Standing Order 11(a), having been advised by the Government that the public interest requires that the House should meet at an earlier time during the adjournment, I hereby give notice that the Legislative Assembly shall meet on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., to transact the business of the House.

Conformément aux dispositions de l’article 11. a) du Règlement, ayant été avisé par le gouvernement que l’intérêt public exige que l’Assemblée siège plus tôt pendant l’ajournement, je donne avis par les présentes que l’Assemblée législative siégera le dimanche 13 juin 2021, à 13 h, pour ses travaux à la Chambre.

Mme Khanjin propose,

That, pursuant to Standing Order 50 and notwithstanding any other Standing Order or special Order of the House relating to Bill 307, An Act to amend the Election Finances Act;

That when the Bill is next called as a government Order, the Speaker shall put every question necessary to dispose of the Second Reading stage of the Bill without further debate or amendment; and

That the Bill shall be ordered for Third Reading, which Order may be called the same day; and

That when the Order for Third Reading is called, one hour shall be allotted to debate with 25 minutes for Members of the Government party, 25 minutes for Members of the Official Opposition, and 10 minutes for the Independent Members as a group; and

That at the end of this time, the Speaker shall interrupt the proceedings and shall put every question necessary to dispose of this stage of the Bill without further debate or amendment; and

That no deferral of the Second or Third Reading votes on the Bill shall be permitted.
