The Speaker addressed the House as follows:-

I beg to inform the House that, pursuant to Standing Order 69(b), the House Leader of the Third Party, the Member for Niagara Centre, has notified the Clerk of his intention to file notice of a reasoned amendment to the motion for Second Reading of Bill 211, An Act to resolve a labour dispute between The Ontario English Catholic Teachers' Association and the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board.

The Order for Second Reading of Bill 211 may therefore not be called today.

Bill 213, An Act to improve access to justice by amending the Solicitors Act to permit contingency fees in certain circumstances, to modernize and reform the law as it relates to limitation periods by enacting a new Limitations Act and making related amendments to other statutes, and to make changes with respect to the governance of the public accounting profession by amending the Public Accountancy Act. Mr. Young.

With unanimous consent, the following was agreed to with respect to today's debate on Bill 209:

That one hour be divided equally among the recognized parties for the purpose of tonight's debate;

At the end of that time, the motion for adjournment of the debate will be deemed to have been made and carried and the Speaker shall adjourn the House;

And for the purposes of Standing Order 46, tonight's debate will be considered one full sessional day.

Debate was resumed on the motion for Second Reading of Bill 209, An Act respecting funerals, burials, cremations and related services and providing for the amendment of other statutes.
