1) a moratorium on the current legislated Corporate Tax reductions so that the Corporate Tax rate reductions that are scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2012 and July 1, 2013, would not take place; and

2) three separate, refundable corporate tax credits for: i. on-the-job training; ii. new hires; and iii. investment in plant and machinery.

Mr. Walker – That, in the opinion of this House, the Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services must suspend implementation of the decision to close the Owen Sound, Walkerton and Sarnia jails pending a full public review of the decision, and begin consultations with local stakeholder groups that would be adversely impacted by the closures.
