The Speaker addressed the House as follows:-

I would like to bring to the attention of the members of the House the following appointments that have been made to the list of officers who serve this House:

Effective March 22, 2007, Lisa Freedman assumed new responsibilities as Clerk of Journals and Procedural Research. Effective today, Tonia Grannum assumes responsibilities as Clerk of Committees and will serve at the Table in a permanent capacity.

I am certain that all members will join with me in congratulating Ms. Freedman and Ms. Grannum as they assume their new duties. Congratulations and welcome.

The House expressed its condolence on the death of Robert W. MacQuarrie, Member for the Electoral District of Carleton East from March 19, 1981 to March 25, 1985.
