The Speaker addressed the House as follows:-

I beg to inform the House that, pursuant to Standing Order 69(b), the House Leader of the Third Party, the Member for Niagara Centre, has notified the Clerk of his intention to file notice of a reasoned amendment to the motion for Second Reading of Bill 173, An Act to amend the Legislative Assembly Act, the MPPs Pension Act, 1996 and the Executive Council Act.

The Order for Second Reading of Bill 173 may therefore not be called today.

 

The Speaker addressed the House as follows:-

Pursuant to Standing Order 61(c), the Supplementary Estimates (2006-2007) of the Office of the Assembly before the Standing Committee on Estimates are reported back to the House as they were not selected by the Committee for consideration, and are deemed to be received and concurred in.

Accordingly, the Supplementary Estimates (2006-2007) of the following office, not having been selected for consideration, were deemed to be received and concurred in:-

À l'appel de l'ordre du jour portant troisième lecture du projet de loi 158, Loi visant à réviser des lois ayant trait à la fonction publique de l'Ontario en abrogeant la Loi sur la fonction publique, en édictant la Loi de 2006 sur la fonction publique de l'Ontario et la Loi de 2006 sur la négociation collective relative à la Police provinciale de l'Ontario, en apportant des modifications complémentaires à diverses lois et en modifiant diverses lois en ce qui concerne la succession aux qualités pour certains fonctionnaires,

There being no further debate, the question having been put, the motion was declared carried and the Bill was accordingly read the third time and was passed.

That in the case of any division required, the division bell shall be limited to 10 minutes, the Members called in once and all divisions taken in succession.

That, notwithstanding Standing Order 6(a), the House shall continue to meet until Thursday, December 21, 2006, at which time the Speaker shall adjourn the House without motion until Monday, March 19, 2007.
