With unanimous consent, on motion by Mr. Duncan,

Ordered, That the following amendments be made to the membership of certain Committees:

On the Standing Committee on General Government:

Mrs. Jeffrey replaces Mr. Qaadri.

On the Standing Committee on Justice Policy:

Mr. Qaadri replaces Mr. Orazietti.

On the Standing Committee on the Legislative Assembly:

Mr. McMeekin replaces Mrs. Jeffrey.

Mr. Peterson replaces Mr. Craitor.

On the Standing Committee on Regulations and Private Bills:

Mr. Kular replaces Mr. Leal.

Mr. Craitor replaces Mr. Peterson.

On the Standing Committee on Social Policy:

Mr. Racco replaces Mr. McMeekin.

With unanimous consent, on motion by Mr. Duncan,

Ordered, That notwithstanding the Order of the House dated June 17, 2004, all Committees may meet on Wednesday, December 15, 2004 and Thursday, December 16, 2004 for the purpose of organization.

With unanimous consent, on motion by Mr. Duncan,

Ordered, That the following Standing Committees be authorized to meet during the winter adjournment for the purpose of considering government business in accordance with the schedule of meeting dates agreed to by the three party whips and tabled with the Clerk of the Assembly:

The Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs;

The Standing Committee on General Government;

The Standing Committee on the Legislative Assembly; and

The Standing Committee on Social Policy.

On motion by Mr. Duncan,

Ordered, That pursuant to Standing Order 72(a), the Order for Second Reading of Bill 110, An Act to require the disclosure of information to police respecting persons being treated for gunshot wounds be discharged and the Bill be referred to the Standing Committee on Justice Policy.

With unanimous consent, Mr. Bisson moved the following motion:-

That Mr. Hampton and Mr. Kormos exchange places in the Order of Precedence for Private Members' Public Business, and that the requirement for notice be waived for Ballot Item Number 47.

The question being put on the motion, it was carried.

The House expressed its condolence on the death of John L. Brown, Member for the Electoral District of Beaches-Woodbine from October 17, 1967 to October 20, 1971.

The House expressed its condolence on the death of J. Earl McEwen, Member for the Electoral District of Frontenac-Addington from September 18, 1975 to May 1, 1985.

During "Oral Questions", the Speaker requested the Member for Leeds-Grenville (Mr. Runciman) to withdraw unparliamentary language.

Pendant la période des «Questions orales», le Président demande au député de Leeds-Grenville, M. Runciman de retirer les propos non-parlementaires.

The Member having refused was named by the Speaker and directed to withdraw from the service of the House for the balance of the sessional day.

Comme le député refuse d'obéir, le Président le désigne par son nom et l'ordonne de se retirer du service de l'Assemblée pour le reste du jour de session.

At 4:00 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 30(b), the Speaker interrupted the proceedings and called Orders of the Day.

After some time, the question having been put, the Acting Speaker (Mr. Arnott) declared his opinion that the Ayes had it, and a recorded vote having been demanded,

Après quelque temps, la motion mise aux voix, le président par intérim, M. Arnott déclare qu'à son avis les voix favorables l'emportent et un vote par appel nominal a été demandé,

The Acting Speaker directed that the Members be called in, for which purpose the division bells were rung.

Le Président par intérim donne des directives pour convoquer les députés et la sonnerie d'appel se fait entendre.

During the ringing of the bells, the Acting Speaker addressed the House as follows:-

I have received a request from the Chief Government Whip, under Standing Order 28(h), that the vote on the motion for Third Reading of Bill 82, An Act to amend the Ontario College of Teachers Act, 1996 to cancel the Professional Learning Program, be deferred until December 15, 2004.

J'ai reçu une requête du Whip en chef du gouvernement, conformément à l'article 28(h) du Règlement, que le vote sur la motion portant troisième lecture du projet de loi 82, Loi modifiant la Loi de 1996 sur l'Ordre des enseignantes et des enseignants de l'Ontario en vue d'annuler le programme de perfectionnement professionnel, soit différé jusqu'au 15 décembre 2004.

Therefore the vote is accordingly deferred.
