The House expressed its condolence on the death of Douglas Kennedy, Member for the Electoral District of Peel South from October 17, 1967 to September 17, 1975 and Member for the Electoral District of Mississauga South from September 18, 1975 to March 25, 1985.

Following "Oral Questions", with unanimous consent, the House reverted to "Motions".

Ordered, That, notwithstanding Standing Order 9 and any other Order of the House, the House may continue to meet beyond 6 p.m. tomorrow in order that the Speaker may put the Question on Government motion number 28 standing in the name of Mr. Eves at 5:50 p.m., should that be called as the first order of the day; and

That, immediately following that vote a new sessional day is deemed to have commenced and the Order for Second Reading, and if necessary Third Reading, of Bill 28 may be called; and

That, following the disposition of Bill 28 the Speaker shall adjourn the House until Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at 1:30 p.m.

That pursuant to Standing Order 46 and notwithstanding any other Standing Order or Special Order of the House relating to Bill 28, An Act to resolve a labour dispute between The Ontario English Catholic Teachers' Association and the Toronto Catholic District School Board and to amend the Education Act and the Provincial Schools Negotiations Act, when Bill 28 is next called as a government order, the Speaker shall put every question necessary to dispose of the second reading stage of the bill, without further debate or amendment, and at such time the bill shall be Ordered for third reading, which order may then be immediately called; and

That, when the order for third reading is called, the Speaker shall put every question necessary to dispose of this stage of the bill without further debate or amendment; and

That no deferral of the second and third reading votes pursuant to Standing Order 28(h) shall be permitted; and

That, in the case of any division relating to any proceedings on the bill, the division bell shall be limited to five minutes.
