The Chair (Mr. Brian Riddell): Good afternoon, everyone. The Standing Committee on Social Policy will come to order. Our agenda this afternoon is committee business. Is there any business which members wish to raise? I recognize MPP Leardi.

Mr. Anthony Leardi: I move that the committee enter closed session for the purpose of organizing committee business.

The Chair (Mr. Brian Riddell): MPP Leardi has moved a motion. Is there any debate or discussion on this motion? I recognize MPP Gélinas.

M^me France Gélinas: How long have you guys been in power? For 12 of the 19 years that I’ve been here, we’ve always scheduled the business of the committee in an open session. Not a whole lot of people ever looked at those transcripts. But, really, we have nothing to hide. You’ll put dates forward, we will say “aye” or “nay,” and then we’ll decide when we’ll meet again. I don’t understand why we have to go in camera to do that.

The Chair (Mr. Brian Riddell): It sounds romantic when you say “when we’ll meet again.”
