An Act to amend the
Food Safety and
Quality Act, 2001

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:

1. Subsection 61 (2) of the Food Safety and Quality Act, 2001 is repealed and the following substituted:

(2) Section 57 comes into force on June 1, 2005.

Commencement

2. This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.

Short title

3. The short title of this Act is the Food Safety and Quality Amendment Act, 2002.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The Bill amends the Food Safety and Quality Act, 2001 by changing the commencement date of section 57 to June 1, 2005.
