An Act to amend the

Highway Traffic Act

with respect to photo-radar

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:

1. Subsection 205.1 (1) of the Highway Traffic Act, as enacted by the Statutes of Ontario, 1993, chapter 31, section 2, is amended by striking out "within an area of Ontario designated by the regulations" and substituting "on Highway 401 between London and Windsor".

2. Clause 205.14 (b) of the Act, as enacted by the Statutes of Ontario, 1993, chapter 31, section 2, is repealed.

Commencement

3. This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.

Short title

4. The short title of this Act is the Highway Traffic Amendment Act (Photo-radar), 2000.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The purpose of the Bill is to re-establish photo-radar on Highway 401 between London and Windsor.
