The 2016 Professional Development Seminar for the Association of Clerks-at-the-Table in Canada will take place in Toronto from August 1st to 5th, 2016. The general outline of the seminar will be as follows:

SEMINAR REGISTRATION
Delegates must register online via the Seminar website.
The registration deadline is July 1st, 2016.
REGISTRATION FEES
A $300 registration fee will be charged for delegates. A $100 registration fee will be charged for each accompanying person. There is no registration fee for youth. Please make cheques payable to “The Legislative Assembly of Ontario.” Cash payments will also be accepted at the registration desk and a receipt will be provided. Credit cards are not accepted.
ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES
The official arrival day is Monday, August 1st. A seminar registration desk will be in operation in the hotel.
The Greater Toronto area is served by two airports – one on the city’s outskirts and one near downtown. Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is located 40 km from downtown Toronto, at approximately 30 minutes by car to the hotel; Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) is located near downtown Toronto about 5 minutes from the hotel.
All participants will be met by conference staff upon arrival on Monday, August 1st.
The official departure date is Friday, August 5th. An envelope with a transportation voucher will be included in your registration package.
ACCOMMODATION
All participants will be staying at the Radisson Admiral Hotel Toronto-Harbourfront located at 249 Queens Quay West, Toronto. The hotel is located on the waterfront of Lake Ontario and is close to many visitor attractions.
Delegates must make their reservations directly with the hotel online via the Hotel Registration link on this website, or by telephone at 1-800-333-3333. Please reference the name "Clerks-at-the-Table Conference” to receive the group rate. For those delegates wishing to extend their stay, room rates will be available three days before and three days after the seminar dates.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the following rates:
Standard Room: 1 king or 2 beds/city view $199/night
Superior Room: 1 king or 2 beds/marina or pool view $219/night
Deluxe Room: 1 king bed/lake view $239/night
Studio Room: 1 king bed/city or lake view $299/night
The deadline for hotel reservations is July 1st, 2016 to ensure the group rate pricing and availability. Delegates are responsible for the cost of their room, taxes and incidental costs.
BUSINESS SESSIONS
Business sessions will take place in the Admiral Ballroom, 3rd floor of the hotel, on Tuesday, August 2nd. Business sessions will take place in the Legislative Chamber on Thursday, August 4th.
ACCOMPANYING PERSONS AND YOUTH PROGRAMS
Separate programs have been developed for Accompanying Persons and Youth while delegates are attending the business sessions.
NETWORKING SESSIONS
The Rain Dance Room on the 4th floor of the hotel will serve as the networking session/ hospitality room for the seminar and will be open from 9:00 p.m. until midnight each evening.
IDENTIFICATION
It is requested that delegates and guests wear their seminar identification at all events.
DRESS
Dress throughout the seminar is business casual and casual for the excursion day.
GIFT SHOP
The Legislative Assembly Gift Shop, located in the Legislative Building, offers a wide selection of unique gifts, Ontario souvenirs and exclusive items reflecting the heritage and culture of our province. The gift shop will be open on Thursday, August 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Participants will receive a 20% discount on all purchases.
PHOTOGRAPHS
Photographs will be taken throughout the week and will be posted on the seminar website.
DIETARY AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Please indicate your dietary and/or special requirements on the registration form. We will make every effort to accommodate you if notified in advance.
PARKING
Parking is available at the hotel at a cost of approximately $21.00 (plus HST) per day.
TORONTO WEATHER
August in Toronto can be hot and humid with temperatures ranging from 21°C to 35°C (70°F to 95°F). Bring a light jacket or sweater for evenings.
