Eligibility
This program is open to women or gender diverse individuals who are:
- Permanent residents of Ontario
- Between the ages of 18 to 30
- New applicants to the program
Candidates must:
- Submit an online application, including responding to the long-answer questions below*
- Demonstrate leadership, a commitment to and enthusiasm for active citizenship, democracy, governance and parliament
Selection Criteria
- Your application will need to include answers to the following questions, up to a maximum of 250 words each:
- Leadership: Share an example of when you took initiative to make a difference in your community, school, or workplace. What did you do, what was the impact, and how did your experiences shape your approach?
- Civic Awareness: What is one issue affecting your community or Ontario that matters to you? Why is it important, to you?
- Motivation: Why do you want to participate in this program? How would this opportunity support your personal, professional, or civic journey?
- Future Impact & Community Commitment: After completing this program, how do you plan to apply what you’ve learned in your community?
- All applicants will go through an anonymous screening process. Please review the selections assessment rubric (PDF). One applicant will be selected from each electoral district from across Ontario to ensure representation from all provincial ridings.
