Sword carried by Ontario's first Sergeant-at-Arms

This sword is likely a copy of a regalia sword for a religious order, possibly the Knights Templar or the Knights of Columbus.  The pommel - the very top of the sword - has a crown that represents British royalty.  The cross bar (also called a quillon) features stylized lily flowers.  The lily is often seen as a symbol of Christianity, as are the triangles below the cross bar.
