An Act to amend the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, 1997 to provide for a spring bear hunt

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:

   1.  Part II of the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, 1997 is amended by adding the following section:

Spring bear hunt

   39.1  There shall be an open season for black bears in Ontario from April 15 to June 15 of every year.

Commencement

   2.  This Act comes into force on a day to be named by proclamation of the Lieutenant Governor.

Short title

   3.  The short title of this Act is the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Amendment Act (Spring Bear Hunt), 2013.

 

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Bill amends the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, 1997 to provide an open season for black bears across Ontario from April 15 to June 15 of every year.
