How to Apply
Applications must be submitted online during the recruitment periods. Students must be in grade 7 or 8 when applying. The Legislative Page Program accepts applications yearly from April 15 until June 15; and from September 15 until November 15.
There are three steps to the application process that must be completed in the following order:
Step One
Write an essay (750 words, double-spaced) responding to the following two-part application question. Use specific examples to support your application and to demonstrate why you would be the best candidate.
- Tell us what experiences, achievements (academic, athletic and community) and activities you have been involved in at school, outside of school and at home, that demonstrate your leadership, responsibility and interpersonal skills?
- Tell us why you are the ideal candidate and what unique qualities you would bring to the program?
Step Two
Complete the Online Application Form. Review your application form to make sure you have not missed anything.
Step Three
Print the Consent Form and make sure a parent/guardian, homeroom teacher and principal sign it. The principal must submit the completed form. Your application is not complete until we receive your Consent Form.
