History & Heritage Tour

This guided tour of Ontario’s Parliament Building, provides an opportunity to discover the historic Legislative Building, its parliamentary heritage and traditions, and an introduction to parliamentary history and governance. Ideal for newcomers and those with a general interest in history and governance. During this free, 60 minute guided tour, you will: 

  • explore the historic Legislative Building  
  • visit the Legislative Chamber where Members of Provincial Parliament meet, debate and pass laws
  • discover the parliamentary heritage and traditions of Ontario Parliament
  • gain a better understanding of provincial government, the levels of government in Ontario and Canada
  • learn about active citizenship 

Availability: Monday to Friday (when the Legislature is not in session): 9:00 am to 11:00 am; and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm *Consult the parliamentary calendar
