FAQs - Community Outreach

What is the Community Outreach Program?
The Community Outreach Program is a free program offered by the Parliamentary Protocol and Public Relations branch of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. It is designed to bring educational and special programming about Ontario’s Parliament into the communities throughout the province. Our experienced staff visit groups in their own community to provide customized programming focusing on the function of parliament, governance, key roles and active citizenship.

Who can apply for the Community Outreach Program?
Any interested community organization or group in Ontario can apply. Each program is tailored to the individual group.

When can you come to my community?
We visit groups in the Greater Toronto Area and within a 2-hour drive (150 km) of downtown Toronto regularly throughout the year. If you are farther away from the GTA please refer to our Community Outreach Schedule to see when we will be in your area. We will do our best to coordinate a program in your community as soon as possible once we receive your request online.
