Eligibility

• Authors must be Ontario residents between the ages of 18 to 30.
• Books may be on any topic. Fiction, non-fiction, poetry or graphic novels may be submitted. Special consideration will be given to books that are reflective of Ontario – its history, culture and people - or that are set in Ontario and/or highlight aspects of the province’s diverse communities.
• Books must be published for the first time within the last two (2) years.
• Books must be published by the application deadline.
• Reprints, new editions, textbooks, travel guide books, how-to books and manuscripts will not be considered.
• Submissions will be accepted from both publishers and authors directly.
• Publishing companies must be based in Ontario.
• Both English and French submissions are accepted. There are no separate categories for language.
